The honours list recognises the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK.
Mark Downes, from Redditch who is International Team Manager at the Angling Trust has been recognised for services to Angling.
Cyclist Danni Khan, from Alcester, has been recognised for her services to cycling.
Graham Knowles, from Hartlebury, who is the chairman and trustee of the British Glass Foundation in Stourbridge, has been honoured for services to heritage.
And Ishaque Benny Aslam Rafiqi, from Bromsgrove, who is the founder of Let’s Feed Brum and Tabor House, has been recognised for his services to tackling homelessness and to the community in Birmingham and the West Midlands.
In Worcester, Michael Thomas Donovan has been recognised for services to Inclusion in sport and education, and Malvern’s Karen Anne Rogers, the Chief Executive of Herefordshire Care Homes Group, has been recognised for services to social care.
Actor Stephen Fry, former England manager Gareth Southgate and London mayor Sadiq Khan have been knighted in the New Year Honours.
Honours have gone to a host of Team GB athletes, including runner Keely Hodgkinson, who was named the 2024 BBC Sports Personality of the Year, and mountain biker Tom Pidcock, after the Paris Olympics.
There are also honours for those who campaigned on behalf of wrongfully convicted subpostmasters, after the Horizon IT scandal.
