Shoppers have already spotted chocolate eggs from the likes of Cadbury, Nestle, Lindt and Terry’s in stores across the UK ahead of Easter 2025.
Some Easter treats were even out before Christmas, with Cadbury’s White Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs one of the first spotted on shelves back in early December.

Aldi releases 3 new mini chocolate Easter eggs
Aldi – which was recently named the cheapest supermarket for 2024 – has now launched its own Easter eggs in supermarkets across the UK.
But its three packets of mini chocolate eggs that have shoppers across the country in a spin.
Brits are raving on social media about Aldi’s new Filled Mini Eggs which come in three different flavours:
- Jaffa
- Nutoka (Aldi’s Nutella equivalent)
- Caramelised Biscuit
Posting a picture of the three new Filled Mini Eggs, Newfoodsuk said: “Run, don’t walk to Aldi UK. Brand new Filled Mini Eggs at Aldi! They are all delicious!”
The Facebook post received more than 3,200 likes, 3,900 comments and was shared 679 times (at the time of writing).
Commenting on the new chocolate eggs via the post, one person commented: “I’m not being funny but I’ll die if I don’t get a bag of them Jaffa cake ones.”
Another shopper added: “I need them ALL – I’ve faced facts, I will never be skinny again!!”
A third chocolate fan said: “We’ve just had Christmas and I’ve got lots of chocolate but Omg omg Omg caramelised biscuit.”
They have proven so popular, people are even calling for them to be sent overseas, with one person saying: “Please send them to Aldi Australia.”
Is it too early for Easter eggs?
While most Brits have welcomed the arrival of the “delicious” new Aldi chocolates, others have complained that it’s too early for Easter eggs to be in supermarkets.
One shopper commented: “It’s January f** .. we don’t need Easter eggs just yet!!”
Another added: “Not sure how I feel about this.”
